Solving Speech Problems Since 1982

puzzlepieceI have treated and supervised over a thousand clients who have successfully completed fluency training, and are using fluency in everyday speaking situations. I have also worked with people who use their voices continually in their profession, such as teachers or salespeople. Occasionally this leads to developing vocal nodules or polyps due to vocal strain. Children may also develop patterns of vocal strain from loud talking, yelling, and cheerleading. People who have had neck surgery or suffer from chronic or acute illnesses sometimes experience weakness or paralysis of the vocal cords.

There are effective vocal exercises that can give a person a stronger voice even after illness or surgery has compromised the vocal cords. A physician’s referral is necessary in all instances of suspected vocal problems.
